De este modo, PostgreSQL puede combinar el mundo operacional y el anal\u00edtico dentro de un mismo ecosistema, con un enfoque m\u00e1s eficiente, escalable y alineado con las arquitecturas de datos actuales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-que-es-analytics-accelerator-pgaa\">Qu\u00e9 es Analytics Accelerator (PGAA)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para potenciar las capacidades de PostgreSQL y utilizarlas para mejorar nuestros sistemas con la IA, EDB ha implementado lo que denomina <strong>Postgres Analytics Accelerator (PGAA)<\/strong>. B\u00e1sicamente, PGAA permite realizar an\u00e1lisis a gran escala con rendimiento de motor columnar, manteniendo los datos operacionales y anal\u00edticos en un mismo ecosistema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-los-puntos-clave-sobre-los-que-se-apoya-para-conseguirlo-son-los-siguientes\"><strong>Los puntos clave sobre los que se apoya para conseguirlo son los siguientes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Realiza el an\u00e1lisis cerca de los datos operativos, reduciendo el movimiento y la latencia de los datos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utiliza formatos abiertos y motores de consulta vectorizados para realizar an\u00e1lisis r\u00e1pidos sobre los object store.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soporta clasificaci\u00f3n de datos (data tiering) para equilibrar el coste y el rendimiento.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Separa la computaci\u00f3n del almacenamiento para permitir un escalado independiente.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gestiona toda la pila de base de datos a trav\u00e9s de Hybrid Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-como-integramos-nuestros-datos-con-la-ia\">C\u00f3mo integramos nuestros datos con la IA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el punto de vista de EDB, para integrar toda la informaci\u00f3n y poder gestionar la IA, se apoya en varias tecnolog\u00edas y soluciones principales. Una de las m\u00e1s relevantes es <strong>EDB Postgres Lakehouse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-edb-postgres-lakehouse\">EDB Postgres Lakehouse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Para almacenar la informaci\u00f3n, podemos apoyarnos en plataformas ya conocidas, como nuestras propias bases de datos PostgreSQL u otros sistemas como los data warehouse, que permiten acceder a datos de forma estructurada. Sin embargo, en las arquitecturas modernas estas plataformas se quedan cortas y aparece el enfoque <em>lakehouse<\/em>, que combina la flexibilidad de los data lakes con el rendimiento y la fiabilidad de los data warehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00e1sicamente, el lakehouse brinda estas capacidades porque los datos, en cualquier formato, se almacenan en un almacenamiento externo (object store), pero utilizando formatos de tabla abiertos (open table) como <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iceberg.apache.org\/\">Apache Iceberg<\/a><\/strong>, que agregan estructura, transacciones y metadatos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por tanto, esta arquitectura permite ejecutar an\u00e1lisis SQL complejos sobre grandes conjuntos de datos, incluso del orden de terabytes, almacenados en Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage o Google Cloud Storage, sin tener que migrar los datos a costosas bases de datos anal\u00edticas. Esto resulta especialmente \u00fatil si pensamos en documentos PDF, im\u00e1genes y otros formatos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed, el nuevo enfoque de almacenamiento del lakehouse elimina la separaci\u00f3n tradicional entre los data warehouse y los data lakes.
